About N84 AV8
N84 AV8 is the data anatomy of passenger aviation: ticket components, flights, fleets and airline unit economics, each dated, sourced and labelled by basis.
What AV8 is
AV8 is part of N84, a family of data products run by N84 Labs. It records what official sources and airlines publish, and what can be observed from public ADS-B data, and shows what changed and when. It is a record, not a commentary.
Observed from public ADS-B data and official sources. Airline and airport information always prevails. Not an airline or airport service.
How AV8 collects
One request per page per check, from Cloudflare, with the user agent N84-AV8/1.0 (+https://av8.n84.dev/about; hello@n84.dev). robots.txt and site terms are checked and recorded per source. AV8 never solves challenges, uses logins or calls internal APIs. A publisher can write to hello@n84.dev about any page AV8 reads.
Flight data
Contains data from adsb.lol, available under the Open Database Licence 1.0. Flights are kept only for scheduled passenger and cargo airlines and airliner types; everything else is discarded before anything is stored. Aircraft registrations are never published. Flight observations have not yet begun.
Route records not yet active: seasonal return and the check against last year's end date need 53 weeks of history and are listed here until they can apply.
The derivative database is available as the open download under the Open Database Licence 1.0.
